I just installed my 2014- Fsport intake. Anybody else having engine light issue? I made sure everything was torqued right.
As soon i turn on the engine, the engine light comes on and then the engine shuts off after 5 seconds. I tried to reset the engine code by disconnecting the battery, it does the same thing after i reconnect the battery. Any solutions?

By the way when the engine did not shutoff, I noticed at full throttle, stock intake box sounds better. To describe it, stock intake sounds more deeper with vibrating air noise ( i guess because of the sound gerator). With Fsport, sound level is about the same with stock but it sounds like whining high pitch noise.

 

is the MAF sensor and the one vacuum line installed correctly? Make sure it isnt dirty

 

Funny, I have this same issue, car is at dealer right now. I think the ECU needs to be reset for me but this is the same situation just a little bit of a different cause. Try putting it back to stock and see if the light goes away.

 

Make sure there is no leak near the throttle body. The car automatically shuts off after 4 seconds if the engine receives any air that the MAF did not pick up.

Interesting. I've installed a Joe-Z intake tube on two 3IS - reset the ECU both times - and with both cars the engine shut off after a few seconds after the first start. Every start after that things were fine, no CEL's or anything.

 

Mine also shut off the 1st time, but works just fine afterwards.
