For all of you who are as unfortunate as I am, and live somewhere where you are required to buy snow tires + wheels, what kind of wheels did you buy for the winter? I am trying to decide on what kind of rims I want to buy to use as my winter rims. Do any of you guys have any pictures of wheels you have use din the winter? Do you have a wider stance in the back than the front, or the same all around?
My only concern with 17" wheels is that the car is already pretty low, and there isn't much clearance, and I get a lot of snow here, would 19" be better?

Hmmm, I've never lived in a snow city or whatever, but how would 17's be an issue because of the cars stance? Couldnt you just go with a higher profile tire to keep it at the same height even with 17's? Or sm I missing something here?
Because the stock rims and tyres was very expensive from the dealership where I live, I bought from a local wheelshop for about half the price. 2000$ instead of 4000$. Went with some 17" rims and 225/45-17 tyres. Because of the ice and hard pact snow on the roads here, 18" would be useless.
I wanted rims that would be easy to clean and look ok on the car.
Because of this I went for some split five spoke ones. Only regret is that they are silver instead of grey. Dirt shows a lot more on silver.
I'm in the same boat but scored some nice wheels this weekend. IS300 OEM wheels (chrome) for $40 total. Plan to use them on my 2008 IS250 this winter with 205/50/17 snow tires
can anyone tell me if these would fit (235 / 50 / R18)? i've tried looking up different sites, it seems the width & aspect are doable, but not sure if they can be combined..
