Default aux in the lexus

Has anyone attempted to use the aux in the lexus ? Connect it to watch avi files or mp4?

I don't believe that would work wit the Aux cord, but I'm not 100% sure.

getting the car to play videos via the iphone without an aftermarket product is possible, although annoyingly time consuming and the system is slow as it is.

you can't play videos by just plugging in a smart phone to the auxiliary or usb ports, respectively. it's all a bit more complex. you also can't play videos from a flash drive.

playing dvds is the easiest way to go, really.

How can I play videos from a smart phone/iPad?

Does the DVD go into the same slot where you would insert an audio CD?

In all of my life I've never been in a car that had more than 1 disc slot.

I've driven to Houston (3.5 hr) and Austin (1.5 hr) a few times with friends or relatives, and I wouldn't have minded putting on "Wonder Showzen" or something to get some kicks and make the trip fly by.

yeah, that will override the system. i'm still waiting for vais tech to come out with full iphone integration hardware but they are taking their sweet time.

Before the HDD navigation systems, you had your normal DVD player slot in the radio and then another where the navigation disc is used. In the 3GS, that unit is in the glove box. Don't know why anyone would try to put a music or DVD disc in there though.
