Well in case anyone was wondering if the rear wheels and tires fit up front...they don't. The rims themselves will clear the control arm but the tire won't. You'd need a more aggressive offset/spacers of probably about 10mm to 20mm to clear the a arm.

255-35-18 won't fit up front without spacers? Damn, Lexus isn't making it easy to go to a square set up. So, is 245-40-18 as wide as you can go up front without spacers?

The stock wheels sit in quite a bit from the fenders. They arent using a very aggressive offset. You might have been able to fit a 245 on the rim. Might have still needed a 5mm spacer or so though.

This is the space inside the front tire, 245 would be a tight squeeze on stock wheel

True had a blow out on the front, didnt want to put the donut on the front, took the rear off and then went to put it on the front No Bueno
You're not suppose to put the spare on the drive wheels!
You want a spare in the back because if it blows it's much better being in the back than the front which can flip your car or cause you to swerve and kill yourself being in the front, I'd put it in the back and drive slow get the issue fixed ASAP
I currently have 18x9 running 245/40 on all corners.
It does give a more neutral feel during hard turning and allows you to give a wee bit more power into the turns as well.
Since the 245-40-18 tire is taller and narrower than stock rear tire (255-35-18), do you have any problems with the speedometer? I also imagine the ride is a bit softer as well. Is that the case?

The difference isn't that far off like 1-2mph so it's no biggie.
I'm not dropped so i opted for a slightly higher sidewall to fill in some gap. Running V12 which have soft sidewalls to begin with, they are soft but offer a cush ride and i like the meaty tire look as well.
