If you can prove that its manufacturer defects, then it should be covered by the warranty. Make sure its not because u did something wrong to it

Yeah, that normal wear and tear song shouldn't work as none of us have had these cars long enough to fall under that category. Unless you have an insane amount of miles on your car. Looks like you are in FL. If one dealer won't budge, try another one. Warranties are Lexus specific, not dealer specific.

You can also try talking to another service employee or the manager. Not everyone knows what the heck they're doing there.

Is it on the back seat? I noticed my stitching starting to come loose on the right rear seat cushion. I never put anything on the seats and have had someone sit back there maybe three times.

I agree with the posts above. It will be the Service Manager's decision whether to warranty it or not. The problem is if the manager agrees to warranty it, and Lexus Warranty calls it back, Lexus may decline their claim. If that happens, it leaves the dealership on the hook for the cost of replacing the part. If the Service Manager declines to replace it, don't be mad at him/her, they are just covering themselves. The proper thing to do if you don't like that answer is to call Lexus directly. Lexus may (or may not) agree to pay for the repair to keep you satisfied.

I'm a service consultant for a Lexus Dealership in GA. If you have some pictures I can use my best judgement as to what could be questionable as defect or wear and tear. Mileage is a factor, length of ownership is also a factor. Usually, our dealership tries to find a way to get Lexus to cover it under warranty, but not always a guarantee. In general, our dealership likes to take care of our Lexus drivers, can't say the same for how other dealership service departments are run.

You say seats, which seats, and where on the seats?

Is that coming loose or an extra piece of hanging thread? Just don't pull it to find out! I bet I can tell you what the dealership will do. Push that piece right back into the seat and call it a day!

With something this small, I would be tempted to trim the thread and tuck the remaining back into the seat and see if it comes back. Keep in mind that even if Lexus agrees to replace the leather, that means taking the seat apart to remove the old leather and re-installing the seat with the new leather. Also, keep in mind the new leather might not match the surrounding leather exactly due to very slight dye coloring differences and the new leather usually does not fit as tight as the original leather cover did. Just something to think about before insisting on a replacement.

I'm not planning to have em replace it thou. They also told me they're not going to replace it. The best they can do is to send it out for a shop to repair it. So I'm still waiting for their call. Also its still under warranty, why would I try to fix it. I didn't pull the thread out. Its the bad quality
