getting my xpel clear bra done, so just out of curiousity is getting the clear bra on my side mirrors really worth it? my guy is charging me $100 to do both but on many cars ive seen I don't see any rock chips on the side mirrors. so If I could save myself the $100 and put it towards a diff mod maybe ill do that? what are your guys opinions.
Also, I just want to get the lexus black pearl emblem for the front of the car. apparently Sewell doesn't offer it anymore. on ebay they have the entire set, which I don't want. does anyone know where I can get the black pearl emblem for the front ONLY? will the GS or ES emblems fit? thanks in advance for the responses guys

not worth doing. because most of the chips will occur nearer towards the ground. front bumper, rear bumper,

I think it is worth doing it. It is true that it is less likely to get a stone chip but the film on the mirrors can save from some minor scratches.Originally Posted by shivad87

To charge $100 for mirrors is a bit too much. But sometimes the install on the side mirrors is tricky and some installers don't want to spend time and so they charge you a lot to cover the risk of spending more time than they expect.

It's worth doing it. It's not the rock chips you should be worried about but the bug guts that will affect the paint.

Or if you have to thread the needle parking it in tight quarters in a parking garage or your own garage. I scuffed up the mirrors on the last Lexus by coming in too wide into the garage and smacking it on the door opening.Originally Posted by phungy

On my 12 year old IS300, the paint on the mirror covers is noticeably less shiny than the rest of the car. So I did get the mirrors clear bra-ed on my wife's new 3IS. You may want to try to get a better deal though, as $100 seems high for just the mirrors.
