New to the forum. Can I just confirm that there are no holes to be patched or filled under the "Lexus" and "IS250" at the rear for model year 2013 onwards? Cheers

2013 is still considered the 2IS model and I believe there are holes to fill on both the "Lexus" badge and the IS250 badge on the 2IS. 2014 and up is the 3IS and there is no "Lexus" badge included on this and no holes to fill if you remove the IS250 or IS350 badging.
If I bought a 250 I would do this, so no one would know.
I have never understood this idea. Why wouldn't you want people to know? Are you afraid they will judge you for buying the lower model? Believe me..if someone wanted to find out what car you had, they would offer a "spirited" green light competition, and the result would show exactly what motor you had.
However, you're not alone, BMW owners do it chronically....and i find each of them equally tacky.
However, in both cases, you're better off than the guy that lives out toward me, that has a previous gen IS250, and took 250 off and put F.
Does anyone know if one can purchase the "IS 350" badge that's already painted black. I want to black it out, but I'd rather just buy a badge that's blacked out and not plasti-dipped.

I personally just thinks it looks cleaner. I never thought of it as an attempt to hide whether its 250 or 350. I have a 350 F-sport and that was the first thing I did to the car.
