I really want to buy an IS350 F Sport but don't want to buy a first year redesigned model. Does anyone know when the 2015 will release and any updates?

 

Not 100% sure, but I don't think the '15 model will be that different from the '14. I'm waiting for the '16 to see if they will swap the 250 engine with the turbo 4. If so I'll be a happy new 3IS owner

 

I don't think you'll see a 4 cyl turbo untill the facelift, about 2017-2018.

 

Rumor has it Lexus will introduce turbo engines first into the LS models and then down but not for some time

 

As far as engine power goes, I'm not really a car guy or a speed demon so I actually am okay with the current 3IS engine. By updates, I meant fixes to the various problems that the 2014 IS is having. Like with the Nav Unit, the gauges being glitchy at, etc. all the the things that people are having a problem with on the forum.

 

Today there seems to be a third F-sport package listed when you go to the Lexus website and build your IS. The difference is that they took away the power rear sunshade and added the Preferred Accessory Package (Trunk mat, cargo net & wheel locks). So now there are two options to get the Mark Levinson. There was only two F-Sport packages the last time I looked. I'm hoping this means that we will get a few more options on the F-Sport packages for 2015.

 

I guess it depends on zip code.

On Long Island (NY) it was/is two F-Sport Packages. One with ML one without. They both include the preferred Accessory Package.

But you actually can't get the ML package in this area without special ordering it.

 

It's the same super old engine, I think this is the most reliable first generation you can get.

Does that mean I could place an order in late May or some time in June to get a 2015 model fresh off the boat in August? When do they stop taking 2014 orders?
