70Mile!!(normal mode) My RPM is 2050?! Almost 2100...

Is it Right?!

 

Yes, my AWD IS350 turns about 2100rpm at 70 mph.

 

That's quite bad. My 300h (CVT) is at ~1500 rpm at 70 mph.
Increases at inclines, but rarely above 1800 rpm.

 

What driving mode / gear are u in at that RPM? If I recall, Sport modes don't upshift to 8th gear that quick / or at all.

 

8th gear, 75 mph normal mode, I'm sitting about 2100ish

 

Yep, though this is much better than the 2IS was it still gets about the same gas mileage.


In Sport/+ mode ...

@67mph = 7th gear
@84mph = 8th gear


You drive a hybrid, I believe the correct response here is... duh.

 

My point being: if you have 8 gears, why is the 8th geared so low?
The rev you get is similar to my previous 6 speed Audi A4.
With over 300 hp you should have a gearbox who allows a lot lower rpms in 8th gear.
