Thanks, the coverage of the foot rest looks much better than what the official Weather Tech picture suggests.
How do the rear ones fit? If you move the driver's seat back and fro, would the rear Weather Tech mats get hit by the stuff (cables, plastic, etc) under the front driver's seat?
I encountered this problem with the Weather Tech Floorliner Digitalfit for the current generation of RX a few years ago and I had to exchange for the regular Weather Tech all weather mats. Strangely, for the RX, it only affected the driver's side and not the passenger side.
Next flame, the factory all weather looks much nicer and fit perfectly along with utilizing the hold down screws on the floor . Retails for around 100 but I got for free.
My Lexus all weather mats were part of the sale of the car but they were not free since they were on the sticker.
The digital fit weathertechs retain use of the factory clips, as well, along with holding much more nasty salt/snow in my area of the USA. Looks are based on opinion. I think they both look like floor mats so I remain neutral in the looks department in this case.

No doubts that the beauty is in the eyes of beholder. In Canada, Lexus all weather mats come as standard wi the purchase of the new IS as well (despite the one we get is different in texture and pattern and it is made in Taiwan instead). However, just as bradtopp said, the Lexus all weather mats are not sufficient to hold slush and snow in area where the winter has lots of snow. It could be a mess especially around the foot rest and the accelerator area.
For my case, during this winter, I have tried a new way --- I have been using the clear plastic carpet protector used by some other carmakers (notably European cars such as VW and Audi) to ease the situation a bit. I take them off from time to time as they normally should stick to the carpet for 30-90 days. I bought a roll from some company based in US.
I find with the clear plastic carpet protector film under the all weather mat, the slush/snow mess is under control. But with the WeatherTech FloorLiner DigitaFit, those film may not be needed.
