Default Navigation Question

I have been told the 350F sport navigation does not speak specific street names . It only tells you when and direction of turn
Is this true ?

I have a non-F Sport, but there's no difference between an F Sport navigation and the standard model.

With that said, I hadn't really noticed, but thinking about it, I believe that's correct. I don't remember it ever trying to pronounce street names. That's a good thing. Hearing Google and Magellan try to say our local street names, like "Mukilteo Blvd" makes me wish they wouldn't even try.

My best friend used to live on that street! Ha.

My nav does pronounce most streets. The other day, it sounded really awkward saying a common street name.

It's the street I live on.

I'm heading out this afternoon for some errands and will put a few destinations into the nav and see if it gives me street names.

I stand corrected. It does indeed say street names when providing directions.

It pronounces the street names.

There were some streets that most locals would pronounce, and that's how we always would pronounce those street names.
Since activating the route navigation, it was pronouncing the street names differently then how everyone I knew have been pronouncing it. Makes me wonder...

I might have to drive south a bit and see if it can say "Puyallup".
