My wife and I had a run of bad batteries for our Toyota's. Her car went through two batteries and mine went through 3 in a period of 2 years. Can't say I am surprised even though its a Lexus it is still a Toyota.

This happened to my 2014 Lexus Is 250 F sport. It would not start so we jumped it. It was fine after that. we traded in the car so I could not advise if the car had any more issues.

Default Second key range?

My SA told me that if I was the only one regularly using the car,to keep my second key at a distance and disable it, as per the manual instructions. This was a big problem with my last car, a BMW 535, where the key would keep searching for the car and ended up draining the battery.
