Default Headlight question

I hear there is alot of dislikes about the LED headlights that come on the F-Sport package. My questions are how come I see that there are a few F-Sports on this forum that does not have the double projector for head lights, and is there a way to just simply do a HID kit on the headlight to convert it? Oh, and I am very happy to be back on this forum!! My previous Lexus was a 08 IS350 and was very much in love with it. I hope to be able to say the same when I finally recieve my 2014.

Shed some light. Good one!

I believe the F Sport pics you're looking at with one lens are preproduction models. All the production models have 2 lenses on each headlight.

IMO the LED light output is just as good with perfect color output compared to the stock HIDs. The color also matches the DRL strip perfectly. So if it is possible to do a LED to HID conversion you will need to worry about that.

haha, Thank you for your response. I havent experienced the lighting first person yet, but was just trying to gather info incase it was not bright enough for me when I do take delivery on the car. But color matching really isn't an issue as long as I can see the road.

I think you should take a test drive at night if your dealer has a F Sport in stock.

Keep In mind I'm comparing to my 2IS which has 6000k Philips as the lows and 6500k fogs

I haven't heard one complaint about the led projectors. Regardless of the lumens output, the LED's are brighter and whiter than many hid's out there.

I have them and they're sufficient, but far from the brightest HIDs I've owned.

So then my question is, is it possible for me to do a HID kit on these headlights if I do find them to not be bright enough?

Mine are also plenty bright enough for me. I haven't noticed any trouble with reach or intensity during rain either. The beam also reaches out quite a bit to the left and right sides, so the lack of adaptive front lighting isn't too big a deal for me.
