Phone paired up great but cant get emails or texts. It is a motorola razr maxx. It is a company phone so I have to use an app called MaaS360??? to get my email. Anyone know if that is the reason why I cant get text messages or my email over the car bluetooth. Thanks for the help

There is an update to the TSID, I am running 8400, they say 8500 is out. Don't know about 8600.

I have the same issue though, no text or emails. I am using iPhone 5s, and I called the dealer, they said just to delete phone and reconnect bluetooth. Sounds like a way to keep me busy figuring out why it isn't working. I went in for my 5k check up 2 days ago, and they didn't update the TSID, but others claim to be having the same issue anyways with the 8500 so I'm in no hurry for the update.

 

FWIW, with an iPhone you have to go into your Bluetooth settings and manually turn on notifications to get text messages. No emails regardless though.

Also FWIW, I find it to be mostly useless. They don't display unless you're stopped and having it "read" them to you is borderline useless. Invariably I just end up glancing at my phone anyway.

my iPhone 5 works perfect on my 2013 GS 350 and the fact the texts can't be read while moving doesn't bother me. my friends send me foul language texts sometimes if they know I'm driving because it's funny as hell to hear the lexus lady (i call her barbie) use foul language because she does it with a smile in her voice, it's hilarious!
i use Siri to reply it works great!

 

My iphone 5 displayed text messages perfectly the first week of having the car. Then one day they stopped displaying. I wonder if it has something to do with my husband pairing his phone as he took the car around the same time they stopped working

 

I am in the same boat with my Galaxy S3. Worked for about a week then it just stopped. I don't get notifications anymore, nor can I see the messages window. In my case no additional phones were paired.

 

I can't get this feature to work with my iPhone 5 either. Not sure I'd really use it, but it would be nice if I could get it to work.

 

Not to bump an old thread but updating the Lexus Enform application. It may be the key because after doing it I am no able to view text messages on the nav screen.

 

Over the weekend, after not working for over a month, mine started working. Driving down the road and voila, a new text!

 

Thanks for this screenshot. My Show Notifications was off under the BT setting. Turned it on, and viola! It now works!

No problem! I am constantly taking pictures of anything/everything. And I love the screen grab feature on the iPhone hehe
