I guess this could mean longer wait for my special order!? I hope they don't sacrifice quality to meet demand.

I argued with 2IS and GS owners for months -- those who cried and whined about the lack of butt coolers, etc. -- that Lexus knew exactly what it was doing based on offline and digital data. And I was slammed repeatedly. I feel vindicated now --

"More important than sales numbers for Lexus may be the demographic data it shared. Although he did not break out the numbers in much detail, Lexus Group Vice President and General Manager Jeff Bracken did say that Lexus is hitting the trifecta in terms of its desired buyers. Apparently IS buyers are trending younger, more male, and buyers of the IS are coming over from other brands. Would you like to bet that the brand they are coming from starts with B and is not Buick?"

Sonyhome knows the above post is true as he argued with me when I posted about tracking, zombie cookies, and behavior targeting.

Yes, I bought it without it but I would have prefer to have cooled seats and memory feature! Also had they put 8 speed and VGRS on AWD I probably bought that instead of the RWD. I definitely had to compromise on what I wanted.

So did I Sonyhome but once you've lived with the virtues of the car -- you'll be glad you made the leap of faith.

LOL! I honestly believe this is the best car for me in the market currently even without few of those features. The wait is going to be brutal...

I don't know. Tons of Fsports in the Socal dealership. Not getting sold.

The "demand" is probably only because Lexus only gave each dealership outside of CA 2 Fsports each. LOL

Could those be because not having the right color/option combo? I know I was sticking to specific color and option combo. With exception of few IS350 F Sport options were very reasonable. VGRS $400, PCS $500 BSM $600 RPS $210 and these are at MSRP.

One sales guys was surprised PCS was $500. He said it was $1500 option in other Lexus cars, not sure which one he was referring to.

Tell us something we don't already know it is hard to get the cars here in Houston. Unless you want a 250 F sport.

People just buying the F sport for the gauge only? I didn't even know about the LFA gauge until I took the test drive. I liked the look of the car and stance. Just want to put a set of 19's on the car and drop it an inch.

Interesting article. Written a little choppy with a typo or two. By the way, what is a S Sport?

I believe it. If the gauge was on a shopping cart, I would buy one.

That's interesting, because the Austin Lexus dealer had like 5 of them just hanging out on the lot. I had my pick of color combos and options.

Agreed.

Yep, the LFA gauge cluster is cool, but hey, I've owned a lot of cars in my day, from sports cars to whales on wheels. The '14 IS 350 F-sport is a GREAT car all around. Comfortable, sporty, lots of tech. I know it's new to me and I'm in the honeymoon phase, but I can't complain about a single thing other than not having a numerical readout for avg fuel mileage. Not bad.
