As region varies as well as other things get factored in, actual amount might not be useful for reference.

For my case, my insurance for the new IS350 is about the same as what I have been paying for a 2006 IS350 RWD.

Well after getting a quote from Progressive and 21st century I realize my insurance is normal. They sure charge a lot to insure a car when you live in the East Bay Area.

My 07 Avalanche is 877$ year and 1490$ for the IS.

68 Camaro with a 120K stated policy is $1600 year through Hagerty.

California Casualty. Which I seem to be getting it from the behind compared to everyone else.

Everything is higher out here in the Bay. An "average" 1500sf home in a nice neighborhood is 700K plus.

I pay about $650/yr with Liberty Mutual as my primary car with 2 other cars on the policy and homeowners with 1 ticket 2 years ago.

Tell me about it. A crappy home in Socal is going for $400k. I decent home is going for $550k.

A home a block away from a liquor store is going for $375k.

There are some very nice homes in the Cypress area, newly built in 2000 going for $900k - 1million +.

These homes and the neighborhood are very nice. Problem is the back yard is so tiny.

The best time to buy was 2 years ago. Price has since increased by 40%.

Sorry if this comes off harsh...you Americans don't even know the definition of expensive insurance. Try living in Toronto. My insurance is $2300 / year clean record for IS350 Fsport. I am 24 though but to compare, my parents with clean records pay more on car insurance than any quote any one of you mentioned here. I won't even get started on real estate prices.

On a positive note though, which completely shocked me, the IS350 Fsport is $4/year cheaper than the 2006 Audi A4 I just got rid of. So overall, I am happy about my insurance as I was expecting it to go up about 5 to 600 $ and it didn't budge.
