Could you please take some more photos of the install and how it looks.
It is a bit tricky to see exactly where the amp is placed.

The reason I'm asking is that from what I can see, the setup looks a bit different in my IS (hybrid version)
As far as i can tell, the battery in my car is placed where you have placed the amp.

Yes, you have the battery and tire repair kit above where he placed the amp.

But if you find an amp small enough, i think you could fit it between the battery and Wheel arch.

I'll try it on mine after the winter i belive. Have an old Genesis SA30 in store somewhere. Shoud fit nicely.

Its on the other side of the trunk underneath the floorboard where the First Aid kit is.

Hey John can you help me? I just installed a similar setup but when I turn up the volume my factory sub where I tapped into loses power/signal and cause my amp to cut out.

Can you tell me which/ where you tapped you high level speaker inputs into?

I figured the sub would have been already crossed over for low freq only but it's not right. Thanks in advance for your help!

Amazon.com: AudioControl LC2I 2-Channel Line Out Converter and Subwoofer Control: Electronics Amazon.com: AudioControl LC2I 2-Channel Line Out Converter and Subwoofer Control: Electronics

I used the product above tapped into the stock sub. The amp turn on is hard wired into the cig lighter in the glovebox. Also, I got the remote switch for bass control in the cabin.

Current setup - Alpine MX110 with an Alpine Type R 12" all mated to a 3 fared capicitor. Let me tell you this setup bumps and I'm not even up to 1/2 gain on the amp. Best buy did the install. It look them 6 hours. Cost - 120 bucks ( I supplied the wiring ( 4awg wiring and all parts )

While the above product is a little pricy, it does have the capacity to give amps power from normal speakers. In the case of my setup, everything was done with a hard wire vs the device. The device allows to tap speakers for a sub or dual amp setup. I spoke to crutch field and this was their recommendation for our cars. Hope this helps

Picture of the sub is gone
I also left the stock sub plugged in. The JL amp has a remote switch that I put in the blank spot to the right of the BSM button. It sounds AMAZING!.....

The floorboard comes off by removing the 10mm bolt on the cargo net clip. Then the floorboard pops up. Perfect spot to hide the amp.

hey OP, do you think it'll help with the bass and overall sound if you just upgrade the amp and keep stock speakers and sub?
