wow just wow. for such expensive wheels they are obviously not that great of quality. i have only ever owned one expensive set of wheels, SSR SP3 wheels for 3 years on my wrx before my 3IS. Similar price wheels but damn, i planned to buy some vossen wheels but this just turned me right off.

this is the risk you have to take when you have large wheels and thin thin tires. Hell I cracked a wheel running over a pipe on my stock 18" OEM wheels and that was with a much thicker sidewall. No wheel is immune.
What amazes me is that something like this could happen without knowing about it. Someone else drive your car maybe? Valet parking? Did you not lose any air in that wheel? Thin tire wall or not, those wheels usually are fairly strong. Reached out to Vossen to get their thoughts?
I had to go back to stock. I've contacted mike and Diego from vossen, just waiting for a reply back now. Ill let you guys know my findings and what the company can do for me.

Heat it with a torch? LOL, that's pretty old school. The right way to do it is with that machine in the video. Back in the days, I took my wheels to advance wheel repair in Santa Ana. They had a oven to heat the wheels to get it soft enough to bend back into shape.
They then put it on a spinner with a metal guide to see if the wheel were true.
I never heard of vossen. Do they make expensive copies like iForge and DPE?

No, Vossen makes their own unique wheels. At least that is my impression. There are some companies out there that make cheap copies of expensive brands and throw their labels on them. Youtube Vossen there is a lot of good videos out there.
why would it be covered by warranty? These wheels arent meant to be indestructible. If Vossen decided to help him out, good for him, but thats not for warranty purposes.
if there's no remedy by now your option would get them repaired then buy new tires. I think that would be the cheapest rather then spending $450 a rim.

Because the op said he was going to contact vossen and vossen maintains a 5 year structural warranty. The warranty covers defects which this is not but I was still curious.
I had vossens on my g37 coupe with no issues and I'm considering them for when I pick up my 3is.
