Aha, you just asked the right person. It's not a weird question at all. Since we probably get as much snow as you do in Vermont, I know exactly what you are talking about. No, the salt isn't that noticeable unless you come really to the car. The entire rear of my car was covered with road salt for most part of the winter, and it looked more than acceptable compared to my previous car which was blue. The dirt, one the other hand, does present itself on this color when there is dirty snow slush on the road, However, it tends to stick to the lower part of the bumpers and side skirts, mostly areas behind the wheels, where very few people actually pay attention to.
