Opinions on body side moldings

No way. Think about what a ding or small dent is... It's something that doesn't belong on the body and stands out, right? Right. Yet, that is EXACTLY what body moldings do! They are added on to the body and stand out! So when you break down the end result of each, you come up with the same thing. Yet with the moldings, the offending add-on is ten feet long instead of something you can't really see unless you are up close. Now, which would you rather have people see (or not see)? I hope that puts it in better perspective. Body side moldings defeat the purpose of preserving the look of original sheet metal.

and body molding don't protect against all dings.

This is what I have been doing for years. But if something does need to happen, it happens. Just have due diligence and relax. Car is always replaceable.

I got them on mine thinking they'd look alright but I was wrong they're really ugly and I want to remove them anyone know how to remove them ?
