This same question was asked (in reverse, obviously) in the ISF forums so I wanted to get some input on whether you guys would trade your 3IS for an ISF. I know many of you just got your car but if you had the chance, would you? Let's hope this thread doesn't turn into a flame fest. Sound off with your opinions below.

I would not trade the 3IS for a current ISF. The styling changes are too nice too revert back to the 2IS styling.

Oh wow that's a tough question.. I would trade mine for an ISF though. For multiple reasons but one of the main ones would be that the ISF is now a discontinued model and I feel sentimental about the first "true" sporty lexus car. The ISF has a better design than the 2IS so I wouldn't feel outdated with the design.

Same here. Extra HP is nice but it looks outdated compared to 3IS and I don't want to go back to old interior.Originally Posted by kabgolf1

Interesting stuff, I could not find myself going to a 3IS even though it comes with more luxury and updated styling. ...simply due to exclusivity and power. Regardless, the luxury in Lexus cars is simply awesome in general.
I still still have a 2IS 350 - but I've been considering an upgrade to the ISF... I would not consider a 3IS until a new engine comes out.

I wouldn't because to me the IS-F is out dated, if they were coming out with a different body style then yes....

if a 3ISF were to really arrise I would be first in line. I use to work for Lexus (dealership) and I had a chance to do a lease on a ISF because they were running crazy incentives. The store I was going to dealertrade out someone joy ride the car and smashed it up. Glad they did because I like the 3IS just the more space makes it worth it.
I enjoyed my 2IS, but 8 years for that generation is long. Notwithstanding that, I appreciate the exclusivity of the ISF and the car that marks the beginning of Lexus' dive into the performance world owned by the Germans. As it stands, I'm torn and I'd have to really test drive the ISF before passing judgement.
