TPMS Sensors
I just asked them to pair the sensors. Took them a couple minutes.
No clue what they did, but I didn't have to worry about anything or getting any special codes off the sensors (they were already installed on the wheels/tires).

buy another set off eBay if your looking for additional sensors. You can get a set for $60
Good to know. Thanks. I will just worry about it next time I get tires. I just got new summer rubber on them and don't feel like paying to have TPMS installed that would require unmounting and mounting again plus sensors $$$. I'm in Edmonton, Canada anyways, we only put summers on for 4 months. I'll live with the light.
Bumping this from a search.
So I found an awesome pre-owned set of winter wheels previously owned by a 4GS driver with probably aftermarket TPMS sensors, but funny enough, the dash light for tire pressure only comes on/flashes when I'm on a long highway run. It then shuts off after a few start/stops, and most times driving on regional roads, the dash light hasn't come on at all.
I always thought the light will always stay on (I hate dash lights - makes a car feel ghetto) if you don't programme them, so I feel like I'm getting a bonus. Is this normal that my TPMS dash light doesn't come on despite not programming them yet? Just curious.

It may be resetting to your summer tpms if they are in the garage where you park your car. I think you have to drive for a steady amount of time (30 mins?) without shutting the car off for it to start flashing. So, if you drive for 20 minutes, shut the car off and drive again for less than 30 mins it wont come on. I may be wrong, though.
Decided to go the ATEQ Quickset Route, instead of cloning, for my new to me 2014 IS 350, and bought a new set of wheels with winter tires and TPMS installed from TireRack.
Downloaded the summer values from the car with the Quickset, read the new values from the new tires with a Autel TS401 that I already had, loaded them into the Quickset and uploaded to the car.

Worked great, other than the Quickset quirk of reversing the Left Front and Left Rear values.
