No, it isn't. I would have probably never bought it until I experienced it on a test. I don't even look at the speedometer anymore when I'm driving. I use the HUD. Much more convenient and instantaneous information. With said, if the IS F Sport with the fancy gauges has a digital speed readout that will be just fine.

I would not doubt it as I would expect that the option packages will change as well. That will be a big kick in the pants for all of us first '14 buyers. However, if I wait for the car to offer everything, I may be wanting more and susequently never pull the trigger on one. I adore my 2IS 350 RWD and kept it longer just to wait for the new 3IS.

They managed to not limit options, use higher quality materials on the interior, and keep it under 50k on the 2IS... Besides, it's still better to have them then to not, especially if your competition does.
