2014 LEXUS IS Official Debut Discussion (merged threads)
The rear quarter of 3IS flows way better than F30, especially above the rear wheel area.
Then stop dragging it off topic and admonishing us for doing so. You can't proclaim this is a 3IS thread and then post 5 pages of off topic stuff and expect us not to want to respond. You're hijacking the conversation here, so if you want to talk about the IS, talk about the IS. Nobody can participate in a conversation you're involved in without talking about exactly what you want to discuss.
We get it, Toyota is in financial trouble, and that's why the 4GS is a crappy redesign. All of the improvements are meaningless because it doesn't have an 8 speed and the wheelbase is the same. The wheelbase is the most important thing about a car there can possibly be.
You're right, we're wrong.

dont be surprised if the GS gets the 8 speed for 2014. They debut the performance stuff on the IS first just like how the IS got the 350 engine before the GS despite the GS coming out before the IS
I know the 3rd Gen GS is not a good example of engine/trans lifecycle changeovers, but historically iif Lexus will change out the powertrain in the current 4th Gen GS, we won't probably see a change in a year and a half or two. Anything is possible.
Honestly I dont know why are you posting this crap again and again. You clearly dont know what are you talking about. Please stop.
You are just making stuff up. Why dont you look on google if you are not sure of anything? It doesnt make any sense. EVERYTHING you claimed about in this thread is dead wrong. You continue to do so. Why? Do you have some fetish about being proven wrong?
TOYOTA spent more on research and development (R&D) than any other company in the world in 2011, according to "Global Innovation 1,000". This report compiled by Booz & Company, a consultancy, looks at the companies with the 1,000 biggest R&D budgets. Toyota increased its 2010 spending by 16.5%, and the car industry as a whole increased spending by $13.2 billion, largely to meet fuel economy standards and improve electronics.

Toyota said new Turbo is coming in 2014 to one vehicle. So if we are thinking Turbo, it is not coming until 2015 at least. That one vehicle is 99% going to be NX200T.

Pete, I would like for you to exit this thread. I wasn't blunt enough to ask that I also wanted you to cease the antagonistic posts but I will ask that not continue in future threads now please.
Spwolf, knock off the personal comments or do not post.
