I absolutely agree (from what I can see).

The 2IS was such a big leap from the 1IS whereas the 3IS looks like a design refinement of the 2IS (based on the overall silhouette of the car).

I am liking everything I am seeing about the new IS so far, hope I am not disappointed. I am hoping USB makes a return for the F Sport but curious about the glacier silver (isn't that also the name of a BMW color?)

BMW's is called "Glacier Silver Metallic"

it's not common but it does happen sometimes.

Lexus and Infiniti both offer "Obsidian Black"

Looking good overall, specially the LF-A cluster type and the LED swords on the bumper apart from the headlights, right?

Hoovey,

What's with the police car's behind them? ahhah!! Looks escort!

Looking at the LFA style gauge. It looks like the units are interchangeable? I notice display is showing MPH while the temperature is in Celsius and trip is in km. Assumption is the MPH can make it show km/h on the speed. The other question is, what about the temperature controls themselves?

Looks like hybrid model is out there too with "charge".

Even with the new GS, ES, CT, LS, you can change the MPH to Km etc... in by using the DISP button on the steering wheel, the result is seen through the menu screen between the speedo and tach on those models. Just gotta press and hold DISP for Settings to come up

Oh ok thanks. I didn't know. What about the temperature controls themselves for the climate control? Holding the DISP would only change the display on the cluster only. I hope the climate control can change as well.

Things I like from what is pictured:
Gauge Cluster
Automatic Power Folding Mirrors
Touch panel on the temperature control
Seats look more luxurious, I would like more bolstering, at least on the F Sport model.
Im assuming the Navigation/infotainment screen will be recessed?
Drive modes, Eco, Sport & Sport+.

Things I don't necessarily care for:
Remote touch, I love the touchscreen now
How far up the push button has been moved up, it looks like they ran out of room.
The heated and cooled seats now have a button you have to press, which means you probably have to hit it every time you get in the car, whereas now you can set it and leave it.

I'm really anxious to see the outcome in January!

correct DISP only shows info, not able to change climate control. As you guys can see the new temp warmer/colder is a slider

That is correct, it is now like the 4GS.

And as for the "Remote Touch", that wheel is not remote touch guys. That is your standard controller for the multimedia screen. Many IS's will not come with navigation now, want to know why?? Glad to tell you, IS will be the first Lexus to be able to stream your navigation from your phone onto the multimedia screen!!
