Anyone put a K&N air filter in their 2022 IS350 Fsport AWD? Any good/bad experiences?
It’s a bad idea, keep the original air filter or buy an F Sport air filter.
You want to use a dry filter to keep the mass air flow sensor clean, K&N requires oiling. That oil ends up contaminating your mass air flow sensor and your computer has to start making fuel trim adjustments to keep the engine running properly. Also, look up K&N filtration test, they allow too many particles in, you end up wearing out the engine sooner than it should. There are going to be people here telling you they use those filters without a problem, do your research before you buy. If you must have a “high performance air filter” go with the F Sport, it does fit properly in the factory air box.

I agree 100%, I had one in my 23 IS 300 and after seeing the test data I took it off and put back the oem and the car feels more pep and better milage.
Of all the tests I've seen, the best results are from the WIX and Purolator 1.
Ok, I appreciate you're input. I don't need any more performance or hp from my car I was just considering the convenience of buying 1 filter and never buying another one. I will look into the other dry filters. Thank you!

Just buy a couple of the oem paper filters and keep some spares in the garage or wherever. Every other oil change inspect your air filter and replace it when you se it is dirty. A clean paper filter will let the engine breathe easier. I have an F Sport filter but I keep two original filters on my shelf for when the F Sport filter needs cleaning and time to dry.
There is a regular paper filter on it right now because I hate my F Sport air filter getting all that sand from winter road maintenance.

So this Fsport filter is a dry filter that you wash/clean? But doesn't use oil??
That is 100% correct, wash it clean but never oil it.
Look up how to clean an FSPORT air filter so you don’t damage it.
while you are at it you should also replace your cabin filter at least once a year. I install a new one on my car every March.

Cabin filters I just buy a generic charcoal type from Amazon, I think A1 has a package of two filters that I keep buying for all my vehicles because the price is right, fit is perfect and I’ve had good success with them.

Yeah I just saw a cabin/air filter combo pack on Amazon for a very decent price. I have other vehicles to drive so my mileage stays lower than avg so investing in a Fsport air filter probably wont be a good financial investment. I have a '22 with only 23k miles on it. It'll take me a year to put another 10k on the odometer
