Default ECO light, please go away

***UPDATE*** Sorry guys, shortly after posting this, I did some more digging and found the answer. ECO light GONE! Please disregard.

On the list of unwanted annoyances, right behind the Auto Start/Stop feature which I'm absolutely thrilled this car doesn't have, is the ECO light. I call it the little Greta Thunberg light...totally useless and every time the ECO light turns off, I hear a little voice saying "How dare you?". I'm old school in that whenever a light comes on in the instrument cluster, it's not a good thing. And I've got PTSD from owning a BMW...when lights come on, your wallet gets lighter. The car has an ECO mode, so why does the ECO light need to constantly go on and off in NORMAL Mode??? I will never drive in ECO mode...never...not even once. And I couldn't possibly care less what my car or anyone thinks of my acceleration habits. Just go away and let me drive in peace...or give me the ability to set the default mode to Sport, so I don't need to select it every time I get in the car. Seriously considering pulling the cluster and yanking that fricken bulb out! Ok, sorry, end of rant. If I'm missing something and there is way to make it go away, please share. Thanks!

You can turn it off in the vehicle settings, I did that years ago. I don’t recall exactly which screen it is on, but if you explore, you’ll find it. IIRC, there was a thread here that explained where it was too.

In the vehicle settings, look for something labeled: Eco Driving Indicator Light

The Eco light can be turned off. I agree it's maddening.

Push the index button next to the return arrow to bring up the vehicle settings/meter screen. Use the up/down arrows until you see the Eco light setting.

Thanks all! I'm embarrassed to say that I shouldn't have posted this before doing some deeper digging. I did some searching for an answer prior to posting but didn't see anything. Then after posting, I did find the answer and I have turned off the ECO light. Lesson learned. Thanks again!

When my car was new, I kept thinking I had forgotten to turn off the turn signal light. It's the only light I've turned off.
