Default Part question

Hello everyone, I just purchased my ‘22 IS350 F Sport last month and I noticed these little rectangles inside the door sills that look like they could be replaced by something. They’re in there pretty tight so I don’t want to sit there and rip them out to see what it is then break it.

Probably covering mounting points for the door sill itself.

they're actually not in as tight as you think. just press your finger down on the left hand side of each rectangle and do a light pry and it'll open to reveal a single Philips head screw. these are one of the mounting points for the rocker panel to the door
