Dumbest question ever
Guys I had a friend of mine that asked me the other day what does RCF mean (I had NO Idea) & he thought that the RCF Sport was the Better version with more HP, etc.... which I could understand, you'd think the Sport Model was the Top of the line? WTH
There is no such thing as RCF Sport. Either RC300/200t/350 with optional F-Sport package or the RCF itself. As you own the RCF, you know it has the track oriented hardware, chassis, suspension and the 5.0 Liter V8. Your friend seems pretty oblivious if he is saying 'RCF Sport', but it is also surprising that he managed to confuse you (being the owner of an RCF). Also, RCF means (radical coupe - Fuji). Fuji is the race track in Japan near mount Fuji.

F is a brand or "division" sort of like ///M or AMG.
F Sport is a package, a largely aesthetics-based tuning package.
It's understandable coming from another car make to not know the nuances and branding scheme. I wouldn't expect an outsider to know. No biggy.

Actually, F sport isn't nearly like an "M" or "AMG" badge...I think it is more like a Honda Civic "S".... I feel the F sport badge is purely cosmetic, and very little added to performance.
You are correct, but he said the F brand ant not F-sport so technically, he is correct as well.

I do really wish Lexus would have come out with a better naming convention. It's so annoying because of RCF/GSF/ISF and RC 350 F-Sport, GS 350 F-Sport..etc. They should have just said RC Sport/GS sport, or something along the lines, completely remove the "F" unless it's a true F. Don't even have a damn separate badge for it. On my w211 I have the AMG Sport package but there is zero badging regarding that other than AMG logo's on the exhaust tips. There is no confusion at all.
I totally get that non car people won't know. Hell most of the time I don't even realize it's a RCF/GSF until I see either the hood, fender, calipers, or exhaust. So non car people aren't going to have a clue at all. Which is OK with me. I'd rather people not know what I have and then when they hear the rumble and see it take off, wonder wtf just happened...lol.
But they aren't going to change anything. It's been too long and too far in the process. Perhaps one day we'll see a RCF F-Sport..rofl!
