Please excuse my ignorance, this is my first post. 2016 IS 200t with 92k on the odometer. I just changed the oil 4k miles ago using Mobil 1 full synthetic 0w-20 with a K&N filter. When should I change it again? I've heard 3k, 5k and the Mobil 1 bottle says 10k. The car doesn't get driven hard, at all. Please edumacate me!

I personally do every 3k yes it may be overkill but that is what I do. You can go every 5k that is what a lot of people do no issues at all. Definitely do not go 10k I know the bottle says that but Lexus also says their trans fluid is lifetime. You can also get a sample during your next oil change. Blackstone labs is a company that looks at your used oil to see how healthy your engine is and if you can go longer between oil changes.

The owner's manual says every 10k, but personally, I did every 5k or 6 months, whichever I hit first.
Ultimately, it is up to you. If you drive mostly highway and are not driving spiritedly, you could probably stretch your interval a bit longer than 5k. But even then, I think the most I'd do is 7k on that engine.
I have an IS 500, which specifies a 5k-mile/6-month interval, and I've already changed the oil 5 times in 16,000 miles. The longest I've gone between oil changes is under 4k miles. But I also drive the car spiritedly on a semi-regular basis.
I do every 5k. I might switch to 3k just because I legitimately like changing the oil, and fresh oil is never a bad thing.
At 5k my IS300 oil looks tinted but still translucent, and very healthy. I hate draining black, super-dirty oil out of the car. I can't imagine doing 10k intervals on this car, I really hate that Toyota went that direction.

I use the cheapest oil that meets specs and factory filters but change it frequently, between 3000-5000 kms - all my vehicles have run great for decades following this.
OK.....I'm gonna change oil and filter every 5k miles. Thanks everyone for the input!
With a turbo it is probably wise to keep those intervals short, on my Subaru wrx I do 4000-4500 mile oil change intervals.
5000 should help keep the engine clean long term.
