Default Can't program TPMS sensor

I just bought a TPMS sensor from lexus. i have the Autel 501. my old sensor can scan no problem. so i used the Activison by Code, and it can't read the new sensor. It says no sensor found. Is there something else i have to do?

I’ve never used the autel but for an oem sensor it should scan in a normal mode. No need to activate or program. Sounds like the option you are using is to register the tool

Has the sensor been installed in the wheel? Or is it just sitting on your bench? If the latter, some sensors (I don’t know about the OEM ones) require a trigger signal to activate them.

Is the new sensor activated? Do you have to install the battery or press a reset switch or something?
