Sloshing sound when exiting the car. Any ideas?
I assume your 500 has the same hidden pockets on either side of the trunk, under floor panels, like on my 350? One side houses the audio amplifier, the other side empty. Water intrusion ends up ruining amps sitting in that pocket. Can’t imagine that enough water could be in there to be heard as sloshing, but worth a check for piece of mind.
So, I think it was indeed the fuel.
I burned off some more fuel, and the sound changed. I am now at about 7/8ths of a tank rather than nearly full. It now sounds more like a thumping sound and less like a sloshing. It's more faint, but still there. I think I am happy to chalk it up to that.
edit: Drove the car some more yesterday and could not hear the sound anymore.
