Default IS 500 brakes

Does anyone know if the IS500 brake rotors and pads will fit on a 2022 Lexus is 300/350?

The reason I asked about the wheels specifically is because the wheels need to have the right offset to clear the calipers. The stock F Sport 19-inch wheels are known to work with the IS 500 brakes, as we have a member who swapped the IS 350 wheels onto his IS 500. Now, I am not sure about 18-inch wheels - they will probably work, as I think the calipers are basically the same size between the IS 500 and IS 350 - the main difference is in the rotors, which are larger on the 500. Both have 4-piston calipers up front. Rear brakes are obviously not an issue.

So, I'd love to just say yes, but I don't know if anyone has tried it before. It will probably work though. Not sure if you could do a test fit?

okay i don’t mind about the wheels as i am getting 19 inch wheels later on, i was just asking because i thought the calipers between the 300/350 and 500 were different as they do have a different appearance

Oh I know they're not technically the same brake caliper - I have owned both an IS 350 and IS 500, and the difference is obvious. But they are both four-piston calipers and look to be roughly the same size.

I wouldn't change to IS500 brakes unless you find calipers cheap. Really no point. Just go ISF or GSF.

Right, I forgot to mention this - the benefit to upgrading to IS 500 brakes is probably not worth the effort/money. They're still 4-piston, just slightly larger rotors as well as two-piece rotors up front.

yeah i was thinking about upgrading to is 500 pads and rotors so i wouldn’t have to change calipers. But i guess spending more money for the 6 piston gsf/rcf brakes are better
