Your right! I was more going for, when the 3rd gen IS first came out in 13/14. The 350 was faster than a 328I or A4, was comparable to a 335I and just short of a S4 then(both bone stock of course). But for the past few years, the base model 3 series/A4 have been able to wipe the floor with a IS350. They advanced and got faster while the IS has stayed identical.
It has not really gotten cheaper either. My 16 IS developed seemingly rodent related wiring issues that no shop wanted to touch, nor could any dealer solve. So I traded it for a B9.5 S4 two months ago. The MSRP of the S4 I picked up is ~$3K more than a comparably optioned current IS350FS, but the IS350 is slower than a A4 these days.

Here we are in August and there has been no spy photos of the IS not even 1.
I wonder if they will just freshen up the interior by putting in a new Navi like the NX style remove the track pad and freshen up the console area for 2025. But still no spy or leaked image of interior Navi refresh.
What will happen for the 2025 IS?

Probably do a black line special or an equivalent like they did for the ES line before a major refresh.
