Hey everybody, I’ve been super inactive for a while lol. Anyway, is anyone else attending the Lexus Performance School on April 5th here in Atlanta? I’ll be going. Also, has anyone been to one of their events before? If so, how was it?
I think it is fun. 100%. And I learned some things, though maybe not as much as I'd hoped to. Most of the racing/performance driving concepts we talked about were what I'd consider basic knowledge if you've ever, for instance, played a racing sim game with any level of proficiency. So, if you look at it as a fun experience getting to drive someone else's Lexus cars, then you will probably be happy with it.
I think I'd do it again, but then again, for only a little more money, the Porsche Experience Center exists.
I would say my favorite thing had to be the instructors. All of them seemed to be in good spirits and having a good time. Shoutout to Roberto Guerrero for giving my wife a ride in an RC F Track Edition around Road Atlanta.
Autocross in the IS 500 Molten Pearl Getting ready for lead-follow in the LC 500 Sitting in the LC in the pit lane More autocross
So cool! Do you plan on doing the advanced course they offer for people that have done the basic one? And yeah the Porsche Experience would probably be cooler. I’m actually picking up a Nissan GTR this weekend and I want to do more autocross etc now.

@arentz07@DLPTony and I all did the same session at Road Atlanta last year. It was a total blast. I agree that if you are looking to learn anything new, it's probably not the course for you unless if you have like 0 racing sim, or racing experience and you solely use a car to get from point A to point B. Having said that, it was a blast to beat the **** out of a car that wasn't mine. I'd definitely do it again, so much so that I am signed up for the Masterclass at Sonoma this year. Now that I am definitely looking forward to because it is one on one with an instructor in an RC F Track Edition so I will ultimately determine the pace I want to go around the track. In the regular class they break you up into groups of 3 and even though I was placed in the fastest group, one member of our group was holding myself and the other individual back as he didn't push the car as much as us. Still fun none-the-less. I did it with my then girlfriend at the time thanks to @Carolina50 selling me his spot, and she loved it, and she is one of those Point A to Point B people. She started out doing the Autocross as a driver's license course taking her sweet time and she eventually ended the day hauling *** around the course.

That's great! I'd love to see what you think of it. To be honest I'd forgotten that the Masterclass was a thing. 🤣 That is something I might want to check out.
I had the same experience as you in lead-follow, there was a gentleman in our group who kept falling behind. Though honestly, I was probably pushing too hard. 😅 I had a little lift-off oversteer moment. Whoops. But that gives you an idea that we did a decent pace out there.
Awesome! Thanks for the replies guys. I probably won't learn much then, but looking forward to hauling *** on the track with the 3 different cars, especially the LC500 lol. I will probably do the masterclass next year. It will be interesting to see the difference between my GTR and the LC500 (I know they are pretty different, but still).
I was lucky to get in a GREAT group! Our instructor observed how we attacked the autocross first, then he put us into groups accordingly. After the first track pass, the lead driver was like: “Okay…these boys wanna have fun!” We got up to 130mph-ish several times and it did stuff to my nether region. 😂😈
Best $1000 spent and no cigarettes required afterwards! Have a great time!
Is there a listing of all the dates and locations for the rest of this year and their prices for such events? Are there discounts for Lexus loyalty customers or those with influence?

No discount unfortunately. If anything prices went up this year. $200 for the Performance Class. $400 for Masterclass. A guest also went up $50 to $150. On the website you can see all the dates and locations. Once you do the Performance Class, if you want to do the Masterclass you have to be checking the website daily around November as the sessions are much smaller and sell out within a couple of hours.
Roberto Guerrero is that dude. My wife rode with him around the track, and she says he made it look easy to go fast but that she could feel how fast it was.
He was also my coach during the donuts/drifting/slidey-fun-time section. Let's just say he was patient. I am bad at donuts because my muscle memory kept jumping in to correct the slide.
