Is there a company that makes custom gear position lettering? like instead of having P,R,N,D, i want it in japenese symbols. also have my + and - symbols swapped because i bought a module that inverts the upshift and downshift like bmw. so now when i pull back its upshift, and when i push forward its downshift.

 

I'll just say this. JDM cars have Latin symbols just like they do in North America. I doubt there's a one-to-one equivalent that would fit elegantly. Do you know what the Japanese symbols would theoretically be?

That is pretty neat regarding the gear +/- in Manual mode. I've never heard of such a thing, but I am intrigued. You'd definitely want to at least fix those icons to avoid confusion if anyone else drives the car.

 

with adobe illustrator and the capabilities and relatively low cost of digital printing these days, i don't know why you couldn't make the gear position indicator have about any appearance you want.
