Default Repair Manual

Does techstream show me a step by step process on how to fix my 2014 IS350?

I am not the typical Lexus driver.. I mean I am not highly knowledgeable about cars in general... I was gifted my Lexus after I test drove it and thought the car drove like a dream...
(6 years later it still does)

However I know how to read directions and apply that in real world. I'm decently handy, I have done the brakes and rotors, changed a side view mirror... I can follow directions..

I want to change my 02 sensor
bank2 sensor 2

All the information on the how to for this job that I have found is choppy! I have purchased the alldatadiy and the Mitchell1.. both aren't giving me enough information..
I have called Lexus dealerships for a repair manual-no go
I have tried helm incorporated and no repair manuals available after 2011..

Basically I have landed on the tech stream being the savior.. I just have a few questions.. is tech stream the answer?

I want a step by step detailed map on how to do this repair. Does tech stream offer me a step by step guide?

Is there another way I can find a step by step?

Okay, so where do I find a step by step guide to fix my Lexus? There has to be something out there that I can purchase, pay for, there must be. How do Lexus technicians know how to fix everything?

I want to find the repair manual, I need help.

You can access it (FSM, factory service manual) with TIS subscription. Not super expensive too. https://techinfo.toyota.com/

Because there is an 02 code doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is the problem unless it is physically damaged. You should be sure of the problem before you start changing parts.

How do I find out if this is for sure the problem or not?

(There was a recall I did last month-low pressure fuel pump, I took it to the dealership... The dealership told me my b2s2 was the issue)
This is why I believe it's my O2 sensor.

However I am open to any suggestions, please.

It comes on and then goes off by without me doing anything... It'll come on for a day or two and then it'll disappear... It'll disappear for weeks/ months at a time.

It has been happening for a while now.

Thanks Dave I have been trying to find the temporary subscription for the last five minutes... Not going to throw in the towel but I hope I am not missing a crucial detail on how to access the temporary subscription

That code can be caused by an exhaust leak, did the dealer clear the code when it was in?

Not sure if they cleared it or not. I currently don't have any system to access that information, however I am interested in learning what I should consider adding to my personal gear/toolbox to further my knowledge of what is going on with my car.

The check engine light wasn't on when I dropped it off to dealership nor was it on when I picked it up... It has come on and gone off since though.

Is there a diy. Way to check exhaust leak?

Any mods on the engine?? You might be better off letting the dealer replace the sensor if they can guarantee that is the problem.

No mods whatsoever, this is a stock engine with 106,500 miles.

I have the Lexus but the dealership is asking iirc somewhere from $500+ for the repair...

I need to save that $$
