Speaker issues

I have just bought a 2019 is300 f-sport and I am looking for advice about the sound setup. Sound seems to only come from the speakers in the centre of the dashboard. If I fade the sound then some poor sound is heard from the rear. Is this normal? No sound at all comes from the sides.
any advice would be very much appreciated!

Is there a surround option? If so turn it off see if it improves things.

I couldn't see an option for surround in the settings
