Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I parked my car in the sun. When I started driving again, I noticed an unusual smell coming from the air ventilation system. I turned off the AC, but there was still a small amount of air coming through. I decided to check the recirculation trap door by opening the glove box. To my observation, when I switched to recirculation mode, the flap door was closed and appeared to be functioning properly.

I'm wondering what could be causing the issue. Could it be that the flap door isn't closing completely?

 

could be anything. most likely be condensation. check your cabin filter

 

Common problem. Make sure to run the air in non-recirc mode with AC off for a couple of minutes before stopping your car whenever you use the AC to reduce condensation build up
