Default Water Outlet Filler Hole

For the 2GR-FKS, coolant draining instructions are as follows;

1. Loosen the radiator drain **** plug.
2. Loosen the cylinder block drain **** plug
3. Tighten the cylinder block drain **** plug.
4. Tighten the radiator drain **** plug by hand.
5. Add engine coolant to the [AR/GR] B line of the radiator reserve tank assembly
6. Install the reserve tank cap.
7. Add engine coolant to the water outlet filler hole.

Where the heck is the water outlet filler hole!? It's not in any of the diagrams.

Forgive my stupidity in advance. Thanks.

The wording is weird but it should be through the radiator cap.

You're saying that #7 should say "add coolant to radiator cap sub-assembly" ?

Yes. You can only add coolant to an empty system through the radiator cap.

Has anyone done a coolant flush and refill for a 2018 (2GR-FKS) or higher? I just did mine and there were a couple issues:

1. I could not find the the Cylinder Block Drain **** Plug (*5 in the diagram at the top, second link), and thus was only able to get less than 6L out. Manual says it holds 9.4.

2. None of those "no spill" coolant funnels on Amazon fit the radiator cap, thus making it extremely messy/near impossible to burp the system. The radiator cap has a male thread that has a small locking tab. None of the amazon ones had anything remotely resembling this. I only found one instance of a 2GR-FKS coolant job on YouTube, and that one clearly has a different radiator cap. Fast forward to 2:44

Normally I do a vacuum fill, but it was hard to get a good seal on the radiator cap. I also had to plug the breather hole on the reserve tank with a socket extension in order for this to even have a shot at working.

I tried my best to burp the system by massaging air from #1 and #2 radiator hoses, but without no-spill funnel attachment, I mostly ended up with burps of coolant all over my engine.

Alright, I got the EPAuto green adapter to work by bending both sides out quite a bit. It wasn't pretty, and I think i got a few specs of green paint into my coolant system trying to pry it off. Guess that's better than being underfilled.

One nuance: follow the directions exactly. If you open the reserve tank cap while trying to fill at the radiator cap, it'll just cause the two systems to equalize and you'll end up overfilling the reserve tank.
