Hello, I’ve had a lexion installed for a few years and things have been great but I updated the zlink apk to version 5 and now it doesn’t connect, I’m wondering if it needs to be a certain hotspot or CarPlay name? Does anyone have the apk’s? I don’t know where the configuration file is. I am also wondering if it’s possible to update form Android version 8? Are all Lexion’s the same still?

 

I'm curious how this turns out. I'm afraid to update. I've had mine for three years and no issues.

 

I've had mine for about a year now and my Android Auto is very hit or miss. I'd say it comes on about 80% of the time. Sometimes the phone will just charge, but not even try to connect through zlink.

 

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Still have not been able to resolve this. I am almost positive that the hotspot should be a certain name because I changed it temporarily during version 3 and it did the same thing until I changed it back, but that hotspot name and password are not the same ones for version 5. Can anyone here with zlink5 check and tell me what the hotspot name and password should be? I’m all out of ideas. I don’t know of a way to restore to factory settings.

 

I was able to downgrade to version3 and everything is working again, apparently version5 is only for the newer units. I bought mine in 2020. If anyone wants the older apk let me know. I’m stuck in android 7.

 

I have zlink 3.8.11 but it now doesn't activate anymore. zlink5 works on mine on android 8.1 but the only thing I have issues is for every google voice prompt, my song stops and does not resume. I have Lexion on my Lexus NX 200t 2016. Is there a special way to activate it? I know I did it once is it should come preactivated but this time it didn't work. I'm planning to reset the whole system and do a recovery or something. I also seen in the Lexus RC forum dated back in 2021 where I seen people were able to obtain an OS update to android 10. Does anybody have it for Lexus NX or something similar? I've been hounding on Lexion via email, WhatsApp, Facebook private messenger for 2 years, and they have never responded back, Heck, even their private message here on Club Lexus is disabled. I'm starting to think their customer service it outright horrible. They were great customer service when they first started this, but it just went downhill from there.

 

Hey JKING3, do you think it is possible to send me your version of zlink? I also bought mine in 2020 but apparently the apk I have version 3.8.11 wouldn't let me activate for some reason. It worked before, But don't know why it doesn't anymore. Do you mind running me the steps on activating? I thought it was just simple as connecting to stable wifi, wait for it to says connect, go the zlink, and it should automatically activate, but mine just couldn't. Also, do you think you have the code to Restore Factory? I want to try it if all else fails.

 

Hi JKING3 - I’d like to try the version of zlink you have. Mine came with 3.8.20, I’m on 3.9.44 which doesn’t fix my connection issue but also makes the audio skip, so trying to get back to 3.8.20 or another version to test. I’ll provide my email if you can provide that. Thanks.
