Post 2016 IS 300 Brakes

For those who have done this before I wanted to ask about aftermarket brakes for the IS. I was looking at the EBC Yellow Brakes but don't know if they're any good or if I should just stick with OEM.

Dealer wants close to 3200 for parts+ labor so going to do it myself but unsure of what is best option. I want something with more bite/stopping power.

Also, Do you need to buy the shim kit/will it work for aftermarket pads/rotors?

Any help would be greately appreciated.

For an all around street pad: Akebono Performance pads (ASP not the ACT). Unless you are planning on tracking it a lot stick with the stock rotors. With just pads you will get a lot more for your money.
