Head Light Bulb Problem (3rd Gen IS 250) 2015
Hi, I have a 2015 Lexus IS 250 RWD Base Model.
I have recently been having an issue with my headlights. The drivers side bulb has been flickering for about 2 weeks now. A few days ago the bulb gave out on me, so I bought some OEM replacements from Lexus (Expensive AF) but I wanted to get the original ones. I installed the new bulbs (decided to swap both of them out instead of just one). Now I am having the same problem. The drivers side light flickers until the bulb goes out. I have checked the fuses and saw that the drivers side seams to be blowing the (15AMP) fuse. I have changed the fuse and it blows again. I changed the fuse to a (20AMP) which I probably shouldn't have done. The bulb still goes on and off but this time the fuse didn't blow. I have swapped the bulbs (driver/passenger) and checked all connectivity. Could it be the ballast ? both sides get extremely hot within seconds (not sure if this is normal) If it's a short how would I check this ?
Please help I am a newbie when it comes to cars, especially Lexus.
Thank you!

Correct me if any of the following is wrong:
- You have HID headlights
- Passenger side low beam works fine
- Driver side low beam flickers until it goes out
From the sounds of it, the bulbs aren't the problem. I have a couple of questions to help narrow this down:
- What happens when you turn the high beams on? Does anything change?
- Does the 15A fuse still blow if you turn the headlights on with the driver side headlight connector disconnected from the headlight assembly?
