Default Text Message Sending Issue

I'm encountering issues when sending a text through the native app to my cell phone (Android). I'm not connected to Android Auto at the time, and seem to receive messages fine. Enform indicates the message has been sent, but my phone will show it 'stuck' in a sending mode even after the car is off. I don't recall having this issue before a recent software update. Any ideas (outside of connecting to AA which I don't normally do unless I'm traveling far)? 21 IS350 if that matters. Thanks.

I have never heard of this issue before. The only time I've had anything remotely similar happen, I was in Android Auto, and I was up in the hills with poor signal quality. Does this also happen in AA?

Thanks. It's happening regardless of signal strength. I'm going to reset the system soon and see if that helps.
