Default Hi engine while in ECT Power mode

While vehicle is in ECT Power mode, the accelerator pedal was quickly pressed and released, and noticed the revs stayed constant for about 2 or so , after the accelerator was released and returning to normal. Issue only encountered / occurs when vehicle is driven while ECT Power is engaged.

Is this normal operation while the vehicle (IS350) is driven with ECT Power engaged?

When was the battery last disconnected and how much has ect been used since battery disconnect?

Hinting at it could be a learning curve. Drive it some more and see if it goes away...

My 350 has adapted a way of life that normal and ect exhibit little difference except holding gears longer under light throttle.

Thank you for the follow up. Battery hasn't been disconnected for sometime (approximately over a year), however, do not usually use the ECT Power option. When used, not left engaged very long (a day or so). Will leave engaged longer and monitor / not any change in behavior due to "learning process" occurring. Do realize leaving the ECT Power option engaged, uses more fuel (to be expected). Thank you again for the follow up. Concerned it may be a mechanical issue causing the engine to remain at constant revs after releasing the accelerator ( speed sensor, idle control valve, valve springs, transmission etc.) however, would believe if it was mechanical, the issue would be present when the ECT Power option was not used and when engaged. Vehicle did have the recall performed some time ago for replacing the VALVE SPRINGS, LASH ADJUSTERS, AND NECESSARY GASKETS PER CAMPAIGN
