Default simple question about tires

on my 06is350 the rear tries are a little wider than the front can I put the same width all the way around without any rubbing I ask because I am thinking of replacing my front tires which are down to around 30% but I also want to get get a real spare tire and of course, it would be easier if all the tires matched the width. also a nother question is if Ido buy a proper real spare tire will it fit in the same place where the original spare is in ?

Lots of threads on this subject, quick search included this one:

The spare tire question involves the width. The under tray pocket is not as deep as the road wheel and the tire cover/trunk floor
will be higher than normal. Federal Auto rules declare that the flat full size wheel/tire must be engineered to stow securely after
being changed but no mention of how that arraignment will affect luggage space.

the link you put up for I am sure 3rd gen but thanks anyway I am more concerned about possible issue with tire rubage on the front ,
as for the spare I could always just used a longer mounting bolt I am, not sure how far above it would be which is why I asked if it is too much then I wont bother

It sounds like you have a staggered setup with wider wheels in the rear vs the front. You can't rotate these tires around other than side to side. The rear wheels are too wide to fit on the front of the car. My '06 has the staggered setup as well.

You can buy wheels that are all the same width (square setup) and in that case you can rotate as you wish.

thats what I was thinking, which is the other reason why I wanted the same size all the way around . I guess I am stuck and will just have to buy the same size already on the front .
Thanks all for the replies, it helps
