Is there a way so the AC starts on Ventilation instead of Recirculating mode? I have to click the button each time I start the car in order to switch mode,.

 

I will check if mine does this. But as far as I remember, It will save the last setting as you turn off the car and then it will go back to recirculation depending on the current cabin temperature. I noticed that mine starts on the ventilation, then as soon as I started driving for a couple of miles, it goes to recirculation so it must be the auto climate sensing.

I think there should be a way to change the settings using Techstream.

 

I think it does this if you turn off the HVAC. Try leaving it on when thr car is shut off and see what it does next time.
But ya, it might just go to recirc depending on indoor/outdoor temperatures. "It thinks it knows the best way to cool/heat the car but is clueless as to the window(s) position and can default to stupid.

My observation is outdoor temp being above cabin when started toggles it to recirculation and it doesn't matter if the Auto HVAC is on or off.

I'm pretty you could set to your own liking via Techstream. There are a bunch tweaks available as I recall.
