Default Will 235/50/R18 work?

Its been ages since Ive been on here but im running into a big problem. Living in PA has become a nightmare with potholes anymore. Im on my third Aftermarket Fsport wheel after hitting yet another pothole. Im currently running 235/40/R18s but looking to step up the beef of the sidewall. Would a 235/50 or 55 Fit on the AWD? I know it changes the speedo and thats the least of my concerns.

235/45/18 should work with the help of the heat gun to reshape the front fender liner. My guess is with 235/50/18 you won't be able to turn the steering wheel without tire rub.
