I actually was contemplating that as well (16400-31440 - Radiator Assembly).
Are the radiators installed in the 2nd Gen IS350 known for longevity or have been known to clog, crack, etc. in certain locations?

Inquired at TOYOTA, for labor cost only, for having the coolant changed, water pump, belt and hoses changed .
The coolant service is $130+taxes
Water pump install is $720.00+taxes
Both hoses upper and lower $450+taxes
Drive Belt $180+taxes
The coolant service takes 1 hour and the water pump takes 4 hours. The upper and lower hoses take 2.5 hours.(each or both total?). The drive belt will take an hour labor.
With taxes and fees the total will be $1660.00

What a rip off. Take it to an independent shop or better yet do it yourself. This job is super easy and straightforward, with helper friend, you can knock it off in 3 hours or less.

Thanks Yamehoo. I thought the rates were somewhat inflated. Thinking of just having TOYOTA perform the colorant service and hanging the hoses after wards. Don't imagine loosing too much fluid when changing the hoses. Will just top off with 002772-SLLC2 (TOYOTA Super Long Life coolant 50/50 mix).. Maybe change the water pump and belt at later date. Water pump was replaced a few years ago.

Yup thats a big price for the job being performed. Why do you feel the need to perform this work? The coolant is rated for about 100k, as well as the serpentine belt. I'd just check the ribs for cuts on the inside goves of the belt. The hoses I wouldn't change unless they are bulging from the radiator inlet outlet clamp locations.

At high mileage you want to inspect the belt tensioner as well.

Good point MikeFig82. I believe the water pump was changed prior to change of ownership and the hoses and coolant (pink) still look good. Vehicle under 100,00 miles. Just wanted to know all was changed before the 100,00 mile mark, but may rethink the service being performed now and wait.
