Default Voltage regulator failed

Got my alternator swapped out twice in the same week they were both tested before i got them installed and they passed. But after I drive around for a while and get the alternator tested again the voltage regulator fails. Does anyone know what’s going on with my car? Before I got the alternator replaced the driver side headlight was flickering and sometimes would even go out for a little bit could there be a short in the headlight that’s making the voltage regulator burn out? Is that possible?

That would be the better choice!

As for the swap the bulbs from side to side. If the problem follows the bulb, replace both. If used a lot, expect about 5 years from HID D4's...
